THE PROBLEM:
The need to monitor the operation of a heat trace circuit system, often
hundreds of feet long with many circuits and often employing a mixed
variety of cable.
Failure of any one of these circuits can shut down the entire system-and
the entire plant with it: a very expensive occurrence.
Circuit failure cannot be anticipated and is never detected until it
happens. By then, work stoppages are inevitable.
Most
heat trace systems demand active observation by staff on duty, 24 hours a
day, and expensive, hit-or-miss maintenance.
